B-T-S attends Leadership and Communication Skills Training

Riyadh- Board of Directors, Trainers and Support Staff (BTS) including members of ComSoFil attends Leadership and Communication Skills Training given by Distinguished Toastmasters Samer F. Kamal as the resource speaker from the Toast of ComSoFil on December 23, 2022 via zoom as part of the 2022 Board of Directors year-end project headed by the acting President Roger F. Nachor.

Around thirty-two participants who attended this training through the initiatives of the 2022 Board of Directors to undergo leadership and communication skills for COMSOFILians to strengthen their personality development in leading the society and to become more efficient by knowing the proper communication methods and leadership style.

Mr. Roger F. Nachor who is also the current VP Education said, “This training aims to equip our new leaders of COMSOFIL to perform their duties and responsibilities more effectively for a smooth operation and tremendous success throughout the year in achieving the society’s goal”

The resource speaker Distinguished Toastmaster Samer Kamal who is an Architect by profession, a past District 79 Director (2019) of Toastmasters International, member of Toast of COMSOFIL for more than a decade and a passionate leader, highlighted the way of communication method and the seven (7) responsibilities of a good leader such as;

  1. Identify the goals
  2. Innovation
  3. Problem solving and decision making
  4. Setting priorities
  5. Be a role model
  6. Convincing others and inspiring them to follow you.
  7. Performance and achieving results

“We train our future leaders in order to have strong and professional team because the Society believes that when we train them we will have an effective team which has one objective and that is to help our fellow Kababayan.” VP Education added.

It has been a practice of COMSOFIL International to conduct leadership-training program for their future leaders, instructors, support, technical team and even members through Toast of COMSOFIL Toastmasters Club, a speaking bureau of the Society who always provide training and educational session in developing and shaping future COMSOFILian leaders for their vital role to serve the society and be a role model to other Filipino communities as well.

Acquiring good governance, strong leadership from the training is one way or another to consistently deliver success for fellow OFWs, and putting all the knowledge together, they can able to create possible solutions.

At the end of the session, Toast of COMSOFIL Founding President BoT Juanichi Ulanday, acting 2022 President Roger F. Nachor and newly elected President for PY2023 Michael D. Mabubay awarded the Plaque of Appreciation to DTM Samer F. Kamal as a kind gesture of COMSOFIL Board of Directors.
