Oath taking of COMSOFIL’s Board of Directors for the year 2023 ends with a High note.

RIYADH- The Board of Directors of the longest-running Filipino community organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the 2010 Presidential Banaag Awardee COMSOFIL took their oath last Friday December 16, 2022 in Al Nada Resort Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“I have come to know that COMSOFIL is a pioneer Filipino Community Organization before the other Filcom Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and consistently providing community service to our fellow-Kababayan” this is how the guest of honor and inducting officer from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Assistant Labor Attaché Lucille Gayaman opened her speech during the 2023 Board of Directors induction ceremony.
She also emphasizes this year’s theme “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate, Better Vision for Better Connection” that our world is moving forward to a modern technology and we don’t need to be left-behind with all the digital platform, having these skills we can have a better vision which aims also to unite and strengthen Filipino connection.
A well-organized program started through a welcome remarks from BoT Juanichi Ulanday, which he shared the three ingredients of COMSOFIL success. Mr. Juanichi was overwhelmed about the inspirational message coming from the guest of honor and speaker.
During the acceptance speech of President-elect Michael D. Mabubay, he was truly humbled as he deliver his speech and was honored by accepting his position as the new President of the Society for the program year 2023. “This is an organization with a proud past and has an exciting future, it gives me great pleasure and be a part of this occasion with an indelible mark of selfless service to every OFWs”, he said.
Before he ended his speech, Mr. Mabubay commended the extraordinary efforts of the then acting President Mr. Roger F. Nachor in leading the society during a period of great challenges. The induction ceremony was concluded with a closing remark from the 2022 acting President Roger F. Nachor where he mentioned some accomplishment which he achieved during the 5 months period of his presidency.
December 16, 2022 was not the only induction ceremony, after the formal oath-taking of the Board of Directors, the program continue to celebrate the founding year which members of the society commemorates its 27th year of existence.
Games about COMSOFIL history was the main topic where those who answered the questions correctly, cash prizes and gift items were given to all the winners.
COMSOFIL strives to empower Overseas Filipinos in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field ICT and Non-ICT and challenge their expertise to learn more, gain more and to become more competitive.
On the last leg of the event, VP Education Roger F. Nachor discussed the changes of cluster program and the plan regarding the curriculum adjustment. He also mentioned the registration of COMSOFIL graduates with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. TVTC is the equivalent of TESDA – recognized by the Saudi government, it is dedicated government agency for Technical Vocational Training in Saudi Arabia.
