Exploitation in the guise of Art!

Each one of us creates our own definition of a true and meaningful essence of beauty; a definition of having valuable information and a healthy living, that’s why; we have proper education which serves as our passport to have a good knowledge of something that we can easily identified.
It has been said and done, that watching a beauty contest is like an art, as what the pageant expert concludes to all of us. Aside from beauty pageant, there is also a fashion show where the designer highlights their clothing line, lingerie or accessories… but also this time not only the pageant expert concludes the artistic side of the show, instead a lot of critics and socialite person concluded that pageant and fashion is an art.
When I was in high school, I used to watch various beauty contests such as Miss Universe or Mister International, I was impressed by the scenery with overflowing up beat of lights and sound especially when the candidates are started to ramp on the runway….Men and Women are wearing fashionable bikinis and trendy outfit, dashing, shimmering and splendid presentation (a whole new world, I may say).
In recognizing the show, I have realized that the event is not creating any kinds of artistic side. But, there was exploitation, exploitation in the guise of art! That is the first mistake that I realized while watching a beauty contest or a fashion show.
I have a clear message that pop-up in my mind, the beauty and attractiveness are considered vain, and there is no gift of art being seen in a beauty contest or fashion show.
What I have seen in the beauty contest is a marketing and promotional activity of a certain products. It is one way or another of promoting products using the entire body of men and women, is it disgusting?
Let us all realized that anyone who join in this activities are the victim of exploitation in the guise of art. In reality, the real aesthetic sense of beauty defined by the great artwork of an artist that can be changed the mood of an individual, a beauty in its form is one of the greatest gifts that the world has given. Who could forget the masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci a very famous artist who made the secret smile of Mona Lisa. Look at the magnificent structure of our landscape, the majestic creation of our Almighty God, look at the land, the sea creatures and the body of water, these are the aesthetic sense of beauty with joy and harmony.
I am very disappointed that the reality of beauty becomes misconstrued. We have always mentioned that beauty is in the eye of the beholder as what the little princess said. As the world increasingly promotes beauty in a scandalous and sensationalistic way, our young generation will definitely forgotten the true beauty and no longer exist from our nature while the masterpieces of our great artists will gradually gone.
If we understand clearly that the creation of God is the true essence of beauty, then we would come to know that beauty is not just in the eye of beholder, instead the beauty from deep within.
So, it is time to recognize where our world is today, and be honest with ourselves about what beauty is, and what it is not, beauty in its infinite forms, and how important to preserve it because if we do not make it, we will continue to be the victim of exploitation in the guise of art.
